Craig G. Huntington, S.E. has been President of Huntington Design Associates, Inc. since 1983. Previously, he held positions at the San Francisco office of T.Y. Lin International, a firm renowned for innovative work in prestressed concrete and in bridge and transportation structures. Prior to that, he was an engineer at the New York City office of Geiger Berger Associates. The tensioned fabric structure designs that emerged from Geiger Berger in the 1970’s and 1980’s remain the models for the best fabric structures of the world today.

Huntington’s professional achievements have included publications on tensioned fabric structures, reinforced concrete, fascia, aesthetics, and professional issues. He authored the book The Tensioned Fabric Roof, and is co-author of the the American Society of Civil Engineer’s Tensioned Fabric Structures report. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Fabric Architecture magazine, and Past President of the American Society of Civil Engineers Committee on Aesthetics in Design. His engineering work has received awards from the California Preservation Foundation, the Industrial Fabrics Association International, and other organizations.

Huntington is licensed to practice civil and structural engineering in the State of California, and is a registered professional engineer in 12 other states. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture and a Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering. He continues his support for the University as President of the Friends of California Men’s Crew, the support organization for the University of California rowing team, and the developers of the new Oakland Estuary and Briones reservoir boathouses.
